It’s like the era of “mat-dog” in films these days. There was a time when Bollywood was all about Luv Ranjan. Films with a budget of five and a gross of 5,000 made actors’ careers and even left big Bollywood directors on the streets. So what happened? The sequel to a six-year-old hit film was released.

Ajay Devgan and R. Madhavan worked together again after “Shaitan,” but the film received zero promotion. Why is more effort being put into hiding this film than showing it? I’m talking about “De De Pyaar De 2,” whose hype would be considered less than adequate. Granted, the film’s subject matter is a bit mature.

It’s for an adult audience, and it will be difficult to watch with family members because of how a 26-year-old girl and a boy twice her age will ever meet. You’ve probably heard that when a boy agrees to marry a girl, what can a Qazi do? But this film was created to show exactly what he can do.

Two hearts were meeting secretly, but now they want to come out in the open. They want to hold each other’s hands and walk together for the rest of their lives. But this love angle turns into a love triangle when the girl’s father finds out about the girl’s love.

This isn’t an age gap, it’s a straight-up Mount Everest, my friend. A 26-year-old girl and a 50-year-old boy. The father is devastated. If he gets angry, the girl will be gone, and if he doesn’t, she will spend the rest of her life with the old man. From here, a fox’s mind gets in the way of the pair of swans. Every option is tried to turn the ending of their love story into tragedy. But the real movie begins when this love triangle turns into a square one. In this story, Ranbir Kapoor’s duplicate comes as the girl’s lover.

Close your eyes, close your ears; what you hear after that won’t be clear. Whether it’s Ranbir Kapoor speaking or his first copy. So, in just this moment, the lover’s girlfriend dies, and things get out of hand. But the ending goes beyond what either I or you could have imagined. You’re expecting a family drama filled with love, romance, betrayal, and emotions. But this film’s ending goes beyond a suspenseful thriller. The film begins like a game of Snakes and Ladders. Sometimes this one leads, sometimes that one. But just as the dream of 100 seems real, the snake bites at 99. The first half is a lot of fun.

You’ll forget about the music before an hour passes. But the second half drags like rubber. I just want to show you the ending. Rakul, Rakul, my dear Rakul, you look so beautiful, but why do you play characters that make the world look at you with negative eyes? You’ll get very angry at them, and that’s what this film wants to provoke you to do. It’s not just 2 1/2 hours of fun. You’ll be tasked with choosing between right and wrong. Luv Ranjan’s writing will once again question your values.

Stupid or sensible? The decision will come down to logic. The first half of the film is entirely dominated by R. Madhavan, while Ajay Devgan outshines everyone else in the second half. However, the best scenes in this film are when the two clash head-on.

They teach the true meaning of love. Real-life situations and references are used for comedy. Kajol from Bajirao Singham’s DDLJ charms the devil, and at one point, even hints at Vimal’s eyes. And yes, to fully understand every dialogue in this film, you’ll need to watch the 2019 film. Otherwise,

Manju’s connection to the story won’t be clear. Three out of five stars, sir. Funny writing, a face-off between Madhavan and Devgan, and a climax that’s not clear on the right or wrong, but different. It’s not what I expected. Negatives: The film’s social message is forced more than the film itself.

There are too many pluses. Too many dialogues were written, too many were spoken, you could have just taken us around London. This is a one-time watch film. If your family agrees, you can take them along. There are no double meaning scenes at all. The rest is up to you. Take care. Bye bye.
