Review 4/5

Imagine going on stage to promote your film, and a reporter asks you, “If you don’t have hero material, how did you become a hero?” You’d be angry, right? To be honest, this wasn’t a scene from a movie; it actually happened with a Tamil actor. Do you know how he responded? He’s worked in just three films, with a total budget of around 60 crores, and a total gross of 450 crores, including three back-to-back hundreds of 100 crores.

That hero-material cool dude’s third hat-trick has now arrived on Netflix after a smash hit in theaters. He’s also brought the good news of Hindi dubbing. But the problem is that all his movies are a bit frank. You understand, unfiltered cinema, which most people can’t digest. Goodbye to sanskaar, tameez, and decorum.

That’s why when this film was playing in theatres, some people said don’t support such cinema, it will ruin people in real life, so I watched the film quietly but everyone saw it, it is a film of 10-20 minutes more than 2 hours, which is about two families, but whether the family will be able to digest it or not, that answer depends on you.

Because the subject of the film is modern-day love where decisions are made with fingers, the older generation will call it controversial and it can even go to the extent of being stupid and adult.

The name suggests the film’s story is about a boy who wants everything in life ready-made. But when the girl he likes is marrying someone else, Dude sets out to break it. He doesn’t have any special love, or a love of many lifetimes. He simply has one question: how could this ordinary girl reject such a cool dude? He hasn’t found an answer to this question.

So, an old friend who has known Dude since childhood is head over heels for him. She can even get him released from the police station. The girl proposes to him, and he puts her ring on her finger in response, but only to break her heart by removing it in private. What kind of a dude would agree to it at once? But I had no idea the film would take such a twist.

Our Dude will be brought to his knees for this very girl. By the way, I probably didn’t tell you one thing: the girl’s father is a powerful minister who has broken many things for many people, but he loves his daughter the most. When he finds out someone has a crush on his daughter, he’ll be thrilled. If he’s left alone to suffer a little, I don’t know about the guy’s fate, but his face is definitely going to change. The film has garnered so much attention because it questions society’s favorite topic: the marriage system.

There’s nothing wrong with getting married, but the film depicts life afterward in a way that would make even the most seasoned people curse. It’s a bit too adult and open-minded. If you watch it just for fun and don’t overthink, you’ll definitely enjoy it for two hours. There are plenty of funny scenes, clever writing, and the music is also good in Hindi dubbing. But the moment you start judging the film morally, you’ll get angry at everyone involved, from the film’s creators to the filmmakers. Words like “stupid” and “illogical” come to mind. There aren’t many twists or thrills, but until the end, you won’t be able to predict how this film will end. This is what makes it interesting.

And you’ll probably enjoy watching the actors in the film more than you will watching it. They’ve performed effortlessly. Even the roles that required overacting were made natural. Three out of five stars. Entertainment, acting, and a unique presentation of a simple story. Negatives: Except for Pradeep, the other emotions didn’t hit the mark, and the female lead is truly stupid. This film is for those above 18, not 25. But if you don’t use your brain, you can easily watch it with your family.

There are no adult scenes, no abusive language, or anything else. It’s a clean film. The content is just a little too frank. You can adjust to the rest. Take care. Bye-B.
